Positive, Negative Plane and Volume

Contour drawing of still life objects

This is my gesture drawing. I did a couple in the same drawing so you could see my different poses.

Positive space with my son laying on the couch.
Negative space without my son on the couch.

Still Life

The cone was my three year olds 1st birthday hat since it is all I had. The cube was a box in my sons room. The rectangular box is the box the trash bags came in. The sphere was a small round ball of my sons since it is all I had and the canister is from the formula I use from my 10 month old.

Contour line drawings

This is my continuous line drawing. I love flowers so I just went round and round on the paper with a conte crayon and added a sun.
This is hard to see but it is my organizational drawing. I am not a fantastic drawer and this was done in my bedroom. My boyfriend is a die hard Nascar fan so he has a lot of Dale Earnhart things on the walls. Under the shelf is our TV with a puzzle piece of my sons along with a remote.

This is just my contour line drawing made of just lines. It is of my ceiling light and fan. There are 2 strings: one for the light and one for the fan.
